Chennai Super Kings pulled down the competent Royal Challengers Bangalore to become the champions of IPL III tournament. It was a high spirited game that could be seen in the Chepauk stadium. Suresh Raina's 57 out of 35 balls was a great foundation to stand on. Though it was at the receving end, the revival was brillaintly designed by batsman Murali Vijay, Badrinath and S Anirudha. The Chennai Super KIngs victory did not come as any surprise to the IPL fans as they have already seen CSk emerge as the finalist and the semifinalist in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
