Pakistani cricketer and husband of Indian tennis star Sania Mirza filed an appeal against the 12 month ban and the Rs 2 milliom fine that was imposed on him by the Pakistan Cricket Board for indiscipline. Malik filed his appeal through his lawyer in lahore. The Pakistan Cricket Board legal advisor Tafazzul Rizvi said that he was the sixth to file the appeal and only captain Muhammad Yousuf who announced his retirement failed to file an appeal. “We have received Malik’s appeal and after the deadline for filing appeals is over on April 17 we will forward all appeals to the independent arbitrators to assess these cases,” said the legal advisor.
