Rain plays spoil sport at Eden Gardens [Wednesday, February 17, 2010]
The bad weather prevented Team India from acheiving a victory against South Africa at the second test in Eden Gardens. The rain in the night before the play allowed the match to be started only at 10.30 am. As the game proceeded the rain clouds gathered calling the players off the field. The game that restarted at 3.20 pm could stay only for a single over. India played a remarkable game pulling out Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis at the very beginning. India also manaegd to pull out Alviro Petersen from the field. Indian team is looking forward to the match on thursday to continue with the active game. The bowlers will now be left with 98 overs to take seven south african wickets on thursday.
