In the upcoming Twenty 20 series against Srilanka, the selection team included R Ashwin and off spinning all rounder and paceman Ashok Dinda while resting Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan. The National selection panel met on wednesday to decide on the team. Sreesanth who is spotting a comeback will appear in both formats. The Indian team for Twenty 20 series will include Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain); Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Dinesh Karthik, Yusuf Pathan, R. Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, Ashish Nehra, S. Sreesanth, Ashok Dinda, Sudeep Tyagi, Pragyan Ojha, Rohit Sharma and the team for the first two ODI's will include  Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Praveen Kumar, Ashish Nehra, S. Sreesanth, Pragyan Ojha, Sudeep Tyagi, and Virat Kohli.
