Mahendra Singh Dhoni who was extremly pleased with the performance of his team members congratulated at the end of the second test in Kanpur. He particularly acknowledged the performance of the spinners who did their best despite the unsmooth pitch. “There were some footmarks for the spinners to exploit and some turn. But since there was little bounce for them, the pitch was not really conducive to spin. This was a far different pitch from the one on, which we played here against South Africa last time.”, said Dhoni. He also pointed out the vital contributions of Sreesanth and he said that he was quite pleased with Sreesanth's behaviour during the course of the test. “He was aggressive but he controlled his aggression. As long as he does not cross the line, it is good for everyone, teammates, captain, the umpires and the match-referee.”commented Dhoni about his aggressive team mate.
