Australian player Michael Clark was appointed as the skipper of the Australian Twenty 20 side.This was as a result of the quitting of the former captain Ricky Ponting from the twenty 20 series. Cameron White has been named as the deputy to clarke. “I have learnt a lot from Ricky Ponting over the last few years and would continue to do so. I’m really excited to lead Australia in the newest form of the game,”said clarke when he responded to his new responsibilities. “Cameron White will be an excellent deputy and his recent form has been quite outstanding. He is a great player,” added clarke about his deputy.
