India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that the adversity created by the toss and the poor fielding played a bad role leading to the defeat against Srilanka.“Toss is important. If you win it, you have 60 per cent chance of winning the match. Moreover, if you score 230-240 runs, then you have a good chance as the bowlers will find it easier to bowl second,”explainde Dhoni to the reporters. “Our fielding today was not up to the mark. Even as such we can only improve marginally as it is not fair to expect a fast bowler, who has slogged it out in the hot and humid afternoon, to field well every time,”, he added. Mr Dhoni apprecaited the eforts of Angelo Mathews and said that 'he performed well with the bowl'. |
