The Election Commissioner Navin B Chawla said that the election commission is preparing for Lok Sabha Elections . He said that the commission has not decided on the date  yet. The recently convened Conference of State Chief Electoral Officers Commission had discussed on 'Micro Management' on managing poll process. Some of the aspects that were looked into include correction of electoral rolls , EPIC Card , model codes, identification of documents , places where auxillary polling stations is to be located etc. When asked whether people from criminal background would restrained from campaigning at Thirumangalam , Mr Chawla said " There is nothing like that"
