Satellite phone creates panic during PM [Monday, March 22, 2010]
A satellite phone which was switched on during the visit of the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh caused trouble to the security persons. Later the phone was traced to be owned by three Israeli women tourists. The phone created confusion and scare during the March 13th visit of the Prime Minister and other dignitaries including Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi. The Prime Minister and others were in Chennai to inaugurate the new Tamil Nadu Assembly complex. The police who found the Israeli girls took posession of the phone until the prime minister left. The trio who were found to be innocent was left free after the prime minister left.
