Cadres of AIADMK held demonstrations in Chennai urging the centre to roll back the excise duty hike on petrol and diesel. The protest was held near the Panagal building. The north chennai unit of the party organised the protest near the collectorate. The AIADMK leader in Rajya Sabha, V Maitrayen led the protest and said that the Chief MInister should raise his voice against the price hike. “The State government should come forward to cancel the sales tax on petrol and diesel so that their price will not go up further.” said he.
