Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on wednesday appreciated Railways Minister Mamata Banerjee for emphasizing on social responsibility while implementing the railway project. The Chief Minister also recalled that the railway minister had given importance to the approach in the last budget as well. He welcomed the minister's proposals for Madurai-Kottayam, Madurai-Tuticorin, Dindigul-Kumuli, and Rameshwaram Dhanushkodi as higly desirable for development of backward areas. The Chief Minister also appreciated the proposal of modernising the integral coach factory and the introduction of new suburban services in the city.
