Stalin requests party cadres to refrain from celebrations on his birthday [Sunday, February 21, 2010]
The Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin appealed the DMK activists to celebrate his birthday in a 'constructive manner' and to stay away from festivities, pomp and grandeur. Mr Stalin issued a strict request to his party men to stay away from organizing gala programmes, erecting banners, cut outs and print advertisements. “Stop any such arrangements if they have been made. Common people should not be disturbed in the name of (my) birthday celebrations,” said the deputy chief minister on staurday. He also said in a party meeting that those who were striving for party's growth should celebrate their birthday in a productive manner rather than incurring wasteful expenditures.
