The Tamil Nadu state committee of CPI (M) elected G Ramakrishnan as the party's new state secretary on sunday.In a press release, it was stated that Varadarajan, current state secretary had requested the state committee to relieve him of his responsibility as he could not effectively handle it due to his age related issues.
