The AIADMK General Secretary Jayalalitha said that nobody would succeed to destroy her party. She described the ruling party in the state as a setting sun and said that her party would come to power with great majority in the next assembly elections. “Let 2011 come, we will see who stays put and who flees,”, said she. Ms Jayalalitha was addressing the press during a celebration at the party head quarters in Chennai. The ruling party, DMK had won a total of ten assembly by elections ever since its acceding to power in May 2006. The party also managed to be victorious over AIADMK even in the May 2009 elections, after winning a total of 27 out of the 39 available seats.
