The minister for Aadi Dravida Welfare, A Tamilarasi on monday conducted a surprise inspection at the hostels run by the department in various parts of Chennai. The minister verified the attendance and stock register, marks statement, free uniform distribution register etc as a part of the inspection. She also checked the stock levels of the grocery. The minister also initiated action against wardens of Yesanai and Perambalur hostels on finding that they were not maintainig the required hygene levels and stock positions in teh hostels. The minister conducted the inspection as a part of her initiative to maintain good functioning of the hostels for the minority Adidravida community.
