In response to the protest of the lawyers against the charge sheet filed, the CBI said that the charge sheet was filed against only the accused lawyers and policemen and that there was no accusation that the event was 'pre - planned'. The officials of CBI said that the charge sheet has been filed in the local court against 32 advocates and 6 police men. However, there identities of these men were not revealed. The DIG of CBI, Mr Anurag said that there were no comments on the role of top cops in the incident as the matter was 'sub judice'. Some of the accused are also charged with criminal conspiracy charges. However, the officials made it clear that there was no allegation that the incident was pre plannned.
