The lawyers of Tamil Nadu protested against the charge sheet filed by the CBI in the case relating to the clash between the police and the lawyers thta took place in february last year at the Madras High Court premises. The Joint Action Committee of lawyers have decide to meet on Jnauary 18 to discuss about the further proceedings against the charge sheet. Senior members of the Tamil Nadu High Court Advocates Association said that the charges sheet did not reflect facts and that it was against the high court judgement. The also requested that the magistrate should not accept the charge sheet. Mr Kanagaraj, a senior member said that the charge sheet was one sided and that it 'targeted the legal profession'. The charge sheet prepared by the CBI is filed against 30 advocates, 10 police men and 1 college student.
