The bypolls in Tamil Nadu for Tiruchendur and Vandavasi district was held on saturday and according to reports went peacefully in the districts. While Tiruchendur reported 78.05 % voting, Vandavasi polling rate was 84.08%. However there were few allegations of violation of the moral code of conduct and the Chief Electoral Officer has received and attended to similar complaints. There were strict security in both the districts as Tiruchendur was classified as sensitive and Vandavasi hyper sensitive in terms of security conditions.
