The State Election Commission asked the Tamil Nadu Director General of Police to inquire about the raids conducted by a police officer in the house of DMK and AIADMK leaders. The Election Commission has asked the DGP to inquire about the conduct of S S Krishnamurthy, IG of Police, South Zone Madurai. The raids were conducted without the knowledge of the election commission and the act of the officer was defined by the EC as against the board. The AIADMK leaders who were furious regarding the issue petitioned the Election Commission demanding action against the police officer.
