RSS denies suggesting any names to the office of BJP president [Thursday, November 19, 2009]
The RSS on Tuesday denied that they have suggested any name to the office of the Bharatiya Janta Party. The Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of the RSS, Manmohan Vaidya said that the RSS leaders merely expressed their opinion in the matter. “Incorrect reports have persistently appeared in a section of the media attributing to the RSS a role in the election of the new BJP president. The decision on the next president is entirely BJP’s own. If their opinion is sought by the BJP, the RSS leaders merely express their opinion; they do not interfere in their [the BJP’s] matters.” said Mr Vaidya. Mr Vaidya also added that the interpretation of a section of the media that the RSS was against the top four leaders of BJP was not true.
