The Renault Nissan Alliance Plant was inaugurated at Oragadam in Tamil Nadu. Inaugurating the plant, Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin said that the state government will bring out an Automotive Mission Plant 2006-16 which will serve as a policy guide for automobile and component production. “Our government is committed to capitalise on this opportunity and attract a major share of investment flows,”said Stalin. Chief Minister Karunanidhi said that the state has become one of the top 20 global automobile manufacturers with the establishment of Renault Nissan project.
