Google decides to wrap up its operations in China [Sunday, January 17, 2010]
The web giant Google has decided to wrap up its operations based on China, the largest populous country. The news came as a shocking surprise to many of the Chinese Citizens and to the world as a whole. China has earlier prohibited the usage of You tube, face book and twitter among its citizens and the latest withdrawal of google will leave almost all popular windows to the world shut for all Chinese citizens. China has the largest internet browsing population in the world. The estimated total comes up to 338 million with an addition of 46 million in the last two years. The government had earlier come down heavily upon the dissemination of information to outside citizens and as a result had prohibited the use of all social networking platforms.
