Infosys to hire 2000 people [Monday, November 9, 2009]
The BPO firm Infosys announced its decision to hire 1500 to 2000 people in the current fiscal for its back office units. The CEO of the company Amitab Chowdhary said “We plan to hire 2000 people in the next four-five months or by the end of this fiscal. Currently we are 16,000 people in India,” . The company has also launched plans of setting up rural BPO centres in 22 districts of the state. A significant part of the business of the company comes from North America and Europe. The company has launched plans to set up a deleivery centre in United States before the end of the financial year.
