The gaint auto manufacturers Renault and Nissan which has set up a manufacturing site at Oragadam, a Chennai subrub, would commence commercial production by May 2010 as according to the official sources. As the unit starts its production, the total world wide production of the company would go up by one million units per year. The Nissan Motors Executive Vice President Colin Doge told a press conference here that the production capacity of the plant would be 4 lakh cars a year. He also said that the company would produce two models some of which will be exported to neighbouring countries.
