The 3G service in Chennai will be launched by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited by mid October as according to Chief General Manager of Tamil Nadu Circle, Mr Varadarajan. The broad band service will be the next phase of the service an it will be launched in November and will be launched in the headquarters town in Tamil Nadu starting with Coimbatore. The 3G service was a long term project of the amil nadu government and the start of the project was launched by the government last year.
