State government launches medical tourism in Mamallapuram [Tuesday, June 30, 2009]
The state government has launched Medical Tourism facility to cater to the growing medical needs of foreign tourists. Tourism Minister N Suresh Rajan said “for the first time, we are launching the wellness/medical tourism concept in the State. If it succeeds, we will take it to other centres. From now onwards, foreign and domestic tourists need not have to go to Kerala, they can get the same kind of medical treatment here. The concept has been introduced following enquiries from foreign tourists.”
