Total investments to touch Rs 60,000 crore in Tamil Nadu  [Tuesday, March 16, 2010]
   
 

                                       Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin said that the total investments in tamil nadu will touch Rs 60,000 crore before the end of this fiscal. “I hope that before the end of current financial year, total investments attracted by offering structured package of support will touch Rs. 60,000 crore (in Tamil Nadu)”said he. For the past four years, the industry sources in Tamil Nadu has attracted total investments amounting to Rs 46,491 crores.The major investments in the state include that of Toshiba Turbines, Ford India, Michelin Tyres, Mahindra and Mahindra Automobile Plant, Videocon, J K Tyre projects etc. Mr Stalin also added that the Singapore and Chinese Chamber of Commerce is planning to undertake more sectoral investments in the state.
