The 98th edition of the Indian Science Congress will be hosted by SRM University, Chennai. The conference would be held for five days starting from January 3, 2011. The conference would be attended by over 7000 delegates from India and abroad. It would also be noted with the presence of distinguished scholars and nobel laureates. The theme of the congress will be 'Quality Education and Excellence in Scientific Research in Indian Universities.There will also be 14 sessions dicussing themes like science and challenges in new power, climate change, food security, renewable energy etc Talks are also on to conduct a space summit in collaboration with NASA, European Space Association, Japanese Space Exploration, and ISRO
