Madras High Court on Friday stayed the petition challenging appointment of M S Ananth as Director of IIT Madras. E Muralidharan in his petition had challenged Dr Anand's appointment on the ground that he was not appointed as per the provisions of Institutions of Technology Act . In this appeal Dr Anand submitted that the grounds had no legal or factual basis and that he was qualified for the post.
