S R Mani Ayer, former Managing Director of Ogilvy and Mather, India passed away on monday. Mr Ayer took initiative to bring people like Piyush Pandey to the industry. He had an experience of over 45 years in the industry and was the managing director of Ogilvy between 1958 and 1994. He was born on Septmeber 5, 1935 and is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. All leading politicians and diplomats of the state expressed their grief on the death of Mr Ayer, who was a patron of the advertising field.
