In the light of the rift that Bollywood super star Sharukh Khan had with the Shivsena supporters,the producers of his MNIK (My Name is Khan), Fox Star Studios has seeked the protection of police in all theatres across the state on February 12, the release date of the movie. Taking into account the concerns of the producers, the Director General of Police, A N Roy assured that tight security would be provided in all theatres of the state in which the movie would be screened. “He (Roy) said full protection would be given to theatres and there would not be any disruption during the movie’s screening at any theatre in the State,” said Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios. The rift between Shivsena activists and Sharukh occured as a result of his decision to include Pakistani cricketers in the IPL team that he was owning.
