The Chennai Sangam which has turned popular over the years will be held from January 10 in Chennai. This would be the fourth of its kind. The cultural fest is organized by Tamil Nadu tourism department and will have folk artists from all over the country coming over to show case their talents. The culinary skills of the chettinadu and other parts of the state will also be show cased during the event. Right from the year of its inception, there was a great response form the local residents as well as tourists. The fest will be organized by Tamil Naiyam.“More than one thousand folk artists will play the central role in orchestrating the week long festival along with classical singers, musicians and dancers”, said the coordinator of Tamil Maiyam, and MP Kamimozhi at a press conference.
