The ISRO officials said that 2008 was a golden year for them . The ISRO had succeded in launching India's unmanned moon mission Chandrayaan. India also joined the elite club with other countries like Russia , US and Japan . ISRO team had also succeded in putting 10 satellites in orbit using its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). The satellites launched include Indian Mini Satellite (IMS-1), Cartosat - 2A and eight Nano Satellite from abroad . It was also able to successfully put Israel's Tecsar satellite into orbit.
