The Tamil Nadu government will take steps to include the organ donation clause in the driving license smart cards. The information regarding the proposed plan was announced by S Machendranathan,Transport Commissioner. Our State is a bit conservative when it comes to providing personal details in the smart cards, as we feel it is an intrusion of privacy, whereas the Kerala government has put up the entire details on the Internet itself.” said the commissioner. The Additional Chief Secretary said that the state also plans for some incentives for the organ donors and for imparting necessary training to doctors to motivate the people to donate organs.
