VIT and SRU signs memorandum of understanding for collaborative development [Sunday, September 20, 2009]
The Vellore Institute of Technology and Sri Ramachandra University signed a Memorandum Of Understanding on saturday so as to enable collaborative teaching, training and research in medical technology. The agreement was signed by the chancellors of both the universities. The VIT Chancellor G Viswanathan who spoke in the occasion said that the Medical Council of India should allow the private medical universities to introduce shift system and also allow them to admit more than 150 students in MBBS to meet the demand for health care personnel.
