Indian Team lead by the stupendous performance of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar emerged victorious against England in the First test at the M.A Chidambaram stadium , Chennai. The total score of the team in Sachin's favourite hunting ground was 387. The duo, Tendulkar and Yuvaraj put up an impressive performance here with a partnership of 163. The team's ebullient performance delighted spectators and the test rewarded Sachin with his 41st Test century. He dedicated his century to all Indians and paid homage to the victims of Mumbai terror strikes.
" I consider the terror strikes to be an attack on India and not just Mumbai. I would like to thank the England team for agreeing to return for the test series. As for myself, I had no qualms in playing because i had complete faith in our security arrangements"- Sachin said.
Virender Sehwag was adjudged the Man of the Match.
