Though brought up in Bangalore, tamil film star Priyamani had to wait for years to sign her first Kannada film. she will be acting in 'Raam' , the remake for telugu super hit Ready. She will be starring opposite Puneet Raj Kumar. The film is produced by Adithya Babu. Priyamani, who was born in Palakkad, Kerala, grew up in Bangalore. She speaks fluent Kannada. But she was first introduced to tamil films by director Bharathi Raja through Kangalaal Kaithu. The actress is also doing a role in bilingual film Ashokavanam and Raavana, directed by acclaimed director, Mani Ratnam.
