Actor Mansur Ali Khan was arrested on Friday for a land grab case. He was arrested by a police team based on a complaint from one V Duraivelu who alleged that the actor had illegally constructed a building on his 1247 sq ft of land at Arumbakkam in Chennai. The police team led by anti-land grabbing wing Inspector S Vimalan picked up Mansur Ali Khan from his bungalow on Nungambakkam High Road. He was later remanded in judicial custody. The petition said that the actor hreatened the complainant when the latter first objected to Mansur's encroachment. Duraivelu had purchased the land for Rs 2.60 lakh in 1994 whose current market value was Rs one crore.
