Kollywood actress Padmapriya will don the lead in the flick 'Thangameenkal' directed by Ram. The flick will be produced by Gautam Vasudev Menon. 'Thangameengal', a film on the experiences of a middle-aged man, has Ram playing the lead role as well.

Now, Padmapriya has been roped in to play an important character. "Ram is a good friend of mine. I was initially approached to play the female lead of this film. But I could not do so due to my commitments in other languages. Recently, Ram asked me to play another interesting role and I accepted it," Padmapriya says. Padmapriya has completed another project in Bengali and two projects in malayalam. She is planning for yet another Tamil project as well this year.
