Seems like Mullaperiyar issue has taken its toll on south india's film industry too. The shooting of malayalam flick starring Pasupathi and Padmapriya had to wound ahead of scehdule schedule at Sundarapandipuram near Tirunelveli following warning from protesters. The film titled 'No 66 Madurai Bus', directed by M A Nishad, was being shot at Sundarapandipuram a few days ago after a small-schedule in Tenkasi.
The protesters who reached the loation asked the team to wind up shooting. However no violence was reported. "All that the agitators wanted was to show their opposition in a peaceful manner," close sources said. There are also rumors that there was a ban on Malayalam movies in Tamil Nadu and films of even top stars suffered a setback because of this. However, distributors and cinema hall owners in the State denied this saying no such ban. |
