Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor may don the female lead in Mani Ratnam's next flick, Pookadai. It was earlier reported that Pookadai will be based on the life of fisherfolk in Tamil Nadu and will have Karthik's son Gautham and Radha's daughter, Thulasi, in the lead roles.

 

But close sources now report that B-town star, Sonam Kapoor is being considered for this role. Birdies also report that Mani Ratnam is keen on casting Sonam Kapoor as his lead lady. The film will go on floors early 2012 and is a full on romantic entertainer.
