Superstar Rajanikanth who was back in Chennai after a month long stay in Singapore was given a great reception at the Chennai airport. The actor arrived at the airport at 10 pm in the night and by then there were more than a thousand fans crowding the place to have a glimpse of Rajanikanth.

The Chennai city police had deployed a special force to manage the crowd. The number of people gathered increased substantially by around 10pm. The actor, clad in a white shirt and blue jean was lead by the special security team through the VVIP entrance gate. The actor greeted his fans and took a while to wave to them and greet them. Sources close to the actor reported that he will soon return to the sets of Rana to resume the shooting of the flick.
