Kollywood director Selvan has decided to go on an indefinite fast seeking explanation from the producers as to why his just completed flick 'Krishna Leelai' has been put on hold. The director said that 90 percent of the shooting is complete and the producers have not proceeded to the post production stage yet, despite his repeated requests.
"In March 2009, my producers asked me to stop work on post-production for a week as Karunamoorthy's banner (Ayngaran), which bought the film on first-copy basis, had apparently not settled the amount. After that, I wasn't given any indication about when to restart work. Till now, the film is lying in the cans and my life is in ruins. I have been running from pillar to post to get the movie released. But to no avail. My career is at stake now and every actor or producer I approach to do a movie next have turned me down citing non-release of Krishna Leelai," , said Selvan. Krishna Leelai, according to the director deals with a contemporary topic and its climax is about implementing universal education in schools. The producers of the flick are yet to give an explanation. |
