The earlier existing differences between Kollywood directors Bharathiraja and Ameer was sorted out on Sunday. They had both decided to contest for the post of President in the Film Director's Association in the 19th of this month. Statements from  both the directors said that they have resolved the differences and Bharathiraja will stand for the post of President whereas Ameer will stand for the post of General Secretary whereas SP Jananathan will contest the Treasurer's post.

“We have sorted out all differences and it is now decided that Bharathiraja would fight for the post of President and Ameer for the post of General Secretary in one team. Jananathan will contest for Treasurer. Having worked for the welfare of the directors for a long time, I am elated at the developments. I sincerely thank K S Ravikumar and P Vasu for helping us sort out all differences.”, read the press note from the Association.
