Ace kollywood actor Vijay thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jaylalitha for passing a resolution in the State Assembly against Sri Lankan government for its ‘atrocities’ against the Tamils and to retrieve Katchatheevu.The actor said that this would help the Tamils to recover and get equal rights for a good living.

The actor has left for Shanghai to take part in the Shanghai International Film Festival where his last released movie, Kaavalan will be screened. “It is a moment of pride to Tamil cinema. I felt honoured that Kaavalan is taking part in the Shanghai International Film Festival. I am happy to mark my presence at the event and this is the first such event for me to attend,”, said Vijay.
