Kollywood star Vimal is all set to don the role of a teacher with a modern outlook in the flick 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa'. The flick will be based in 1960's. The flick will be directed by Sargunam.

"Vaagai Sooda Vaa has love, sentiment and comedy in equal measure. Art director Seenu, a former associate to Sabu Cyril, erected a multicrore village set. Iniya, a new face from Kerala, is the heroine. It's a much needed message. But I am not ready to reveal it now. The suspense should be maintained at least till the film's release.", the director said.This is the second project in which Sargunam and Vimal are joining hands after Kalavani.
