A defamation complaint was filed against Kollywood actress Kushboo by AIADMK activist V Pugazhendi of Arumbakkam. The complaint alleged that the actress had defamed the politician and people of Tamil Nadu when she and her party faced defeat at the Assembly elections. Pugazhendi said had been 'humiliated' and 'defamed' by her remarks appeared in a section of the media that the people of Tamil Nadu had 'lost' and that they were going to 'suffer for next five years. The actress has refused to respond to the media in this regard.
