The Tamil Producer's Council who protested the appointent of S A Chandrasekhar as the President of the Council jointly declared that a general council meeting will be held on July 3 to decide on elections to the post of the president.

They decided the same on the meeting convened on Sunday. The council had earlier protested the appointment of SAC and opined that no person can be nominated to the post. They suggested that the prospective person should face elections. They council demanded that SAC should face the elections and be democratically eligible for the post.
