Kollywood artists were quick to congratulate the newly sweared in chief minister J Jayalalitha and opposition leader Vijayakanth. The Tamil Film Producers Council had conveyed their greetings to the new CM through an elaborate advertisement in all leading dailies.

Sources also report that greetings have been pouring in from all sources for DMDK President Vijayakanth ever since his party emerged with a whopping 29 out of 41 seats at the polls. Those who greeted Vijayakanth included Cheran, Ameer, Perarasu and Vijayakumar.
