Ace Indian singer K S Chithra who was blessed with a daughter after 15 years of her marriage lost her at the age of eight. Chitra had taken her daughter to a villa in Dubai where she was practicing for her concert on A R Rahman Special Hits. It was then that her daughter went missing. Her friends found the door of the house left open and her daughter Nandana was missing.

On further search they found her lying in a swimming pool. They rushed her to the hospital but could not save her life. Chitra conceived Nandana when she was singing for the flick Nandanam, for which she bagged the state award. The unexpected accident mishap has driven the singer and her family to a terrible shock.
